My advice is to keep it simple. The best photoshoots happen when we create as little fuss as possible for the baby. Newborns do not like being changed too often, especially when they want to sleep, as it can be unsettling. It doesn’t matter if the baby is awake during our session, but we want them as content as possible.
WHAT SHOULD BABY WEAR?
I love newborns in as little as possible so that we can document and reference their size and capture details like hands and feet. I have special newborn rompers and wraps I can bring with me, dress them in a plain baby grow, ready for my arrival.
By all means, add personalised items and keepsakes.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
I recommend neutral clothing where possible, as this is less distracting in the final images, with the focus remaining on your baby and your interaction.

CAN WE INCLUDE ADDITIONAL FAMILY MEMBERS?
If you have the space YES. Include grandparents and other relatives too. Multi-generational portraits are just as precious as capturing the newborn stage. Please be mindful that this may mean we need a little extra time so please mention this when you get in touch.
